Robert Elliott Hewlett, Sr., went home on Sunday, June 16, 2019 (Father’s Day) at the home of his sister in Star Tannery.
A memorial service for Mr. Hewlett will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church, Coal Mine Road, Strasburg, VA with Rev. Dr. Bradford Langdon officiating. A reception of food and fellowship will be held at the church immediately following the service.
A private family graveside service for Mr. Hewlett will be conducted at 12 noon Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA.
Mr. Hewlett’s home is in Williamsburg, Virginia, but he has been living with his sister as he took cancer treatments. Mr. Hewlett retired from Anheuser Busch as a Master Electrician. Later he was Captain of a Commercial fishing business which was his first love. He is survived by his four children: Robert Elliott Hewlett, Jr., Christy Beth Anderson, Amanda Paige Jackson, and Frances Therese Hoek and by his 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
